What is Clavix?
Clavix is an iPhone app that grades the risk of US stocks and ETFs on a familiar A+ to F report-card scale and writes you a plain-English risk brief before market open. It scores 1,017 US stocks and ETFs every trading day across five independent risk dimensions, so you can see if anything you hold got more dangerous overnight without reading a single earnings call.
What Clavix does
- Grades each stock and your whole portfolio A+ to F, updated every trading day.
- Breaks every grade into five auditable dimensions: financial health, news sentiment, macro resilience, sector resilience, and price stability.
- Writes a morning brief before US market open covering overnight macro, your sectors, per-position grade changes, and what to watch that day.
- Sends grade-change, risk, and news alerts, each attributed to its source and timestamped.
- Shows the math behind every grade, down to the specific news articles and SEC filings considered.
What Clavix does not do
- It is not investment advice and does not recommend buying or selling any security.
- It is not a broker-dealer or a registered investment adviser.
- It does not connect to your brokerage. Entry is manual: you type in tickers and share counts. No brokerage login, no OAuth, no third-party account access.
- It does not execute trades or move money.
- Grades are risk indicators, not predictions of return.
Who Clavix is for
Individual, self-directed investors who hold their own US stocks and ETFs and want a fast, honest read on risk. It suits people who check their holdings in the morning, want to understand risk without a finance background, and prefer not to link a brokerage account to a third-party app. It is built for retail investors, not institutions or advisers.
Coverage and how it works
Clavix currently covers 1,017 US stocks and ETFs. Every night it scores the universe, rolls the four weighted dimensions into one composite letter grade per name, and generates each subscriber's brief before the market opens. The fifth dimension, financial health, is scored and shown next to the grade and is not weighted into it. You can preview the same real grades on the web in the stock risk directory, or read the full grading methodology.
Pricing
Clavix Pro is free for three months, then $19.99 per month or $149.99 per year, billed through your Apple ID. Everything is included from the first day. It auto-renews until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime in your App Store settings.
