Recent news
most recent scored articles · the chip is the article’s score · click to openKeysight says its electronic design automation (EDA) software is cutting advanced chip design cycles by more than half and helping AI chips reach tape-out, the final design stage before manufacturing, in under six weeks.
Keysight reported third-quarter sales of $1.846 billion and net income of $397 million, raised its fourth-quarter revenue outlook to between $1.93 billion and $1.95 billion, added Scott Reese to its board, and pointed to growing adoption of its EDA (electronic design automation) software, with customer AttoTude reporting it cut design cycle times by more than half.
Keysight appointed Scott Reese, formerly a leader at GE Vernova and Autodesk, to its Board of Directors. Separately, chip startup AttoTude reported that using Keysight's electronic design automation (EDA) software let it finish radio-frequency and terahertz chip designs faster and get working silicon on the first try.
Keysight reported a fiscal third quarter on August 18 that beat the high end of its own guidance across the board: revenue up 36% year over year to $1.85 billion, profit of $3.07 per share excluding one-off costs (up 79%), and orders above $2 billion for the second straight quarter. Management raised its outlook, but the article flags whether supply can keep up with demand.
Keysight announced it has appointed Scott Reese as a new director to its Board, effective immediately. He will serve as a Class I director with a term expiring in 2027, and will sit on the Board's Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and its Audit and Finance Committee.
