Royalty Pharma agreed to pay Zealand Pharma $100 million for the rights to future royalty payments on rusfertide, an experimental drug for polycythemia vera (a rare blood disorder that causes the body to make too many red blood cells). This is Royalty Pharma's second deal with Zealand Pharma, and rusfertide is currently waiting for a decision from the FDA.
