Celsius Holdings (CELH) shares traded lower on Friday afternoon as investors weighed concerns that the energy drink company's business recovery could take longer than expected.
Deutsche Bank downgraded Celsius, pointing to weak second-quarter results, a stalled brand recovery, and ongoing headwinds, and warned that investor expectations are rising faster than the evidence supports.
Shares of Celsius (CELH) fell 5.9% in afternoon trading after a Deutsche Bank analyst downgraded the stock from Buy to Hold with a $35 price target. The analyst cited weakening core business trends through the second quarter, results that missed expectations, and management's decision to push a meaningful recovery to fiscal 2027.
CELSIUS has been named the Official Energy Drink partner of the ATHX Games, a hybrid fitness competition, with the partnership starting at the Birmingham event on 22-23 August. The deal will see CELSIUS activate its 'LIVE.FIT.GO' brand platform across the competition's UK dates, and the company said it plans to expand alongside the events as it looks to grow beyond Europe.
